Welcome to the new Idaho Falls Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K courses!
We're excited to introduce a faster, flatter, straighter, and safer course designed to give every runner the best opportunity to perform at their highest level. We listened to your feedback and built a course with fewer turns, fewer road crossings, minimal interruptions, and virtually no stoplights—allowing you to stay in rhythm instead of fighting traffic or navigating obstacles.
The marathon and half marathon leave Snake River Landing and head west through the beautiful Idaho countryside, where you'll be treated to wide-open farmland, mountain views, a spectacular sunrise, and yes... the occasional refreshing mist from an irrigation sprinkler. It's Idaho at its finest.
While we loved showcasing the Greenbelt in previous years, it simply wasn't the best place for hundreds of runners on a Saturday morning. The Greenbelt remains one of Idaho Falls' greatest assets and is the perfect location for your pre-race shakeout run, post-race recovery jog, or a relaxing walk with family and friends during race weekend.

IF Marathon Is Partnered With
Coming Home Inc.

Coming Home Inc.’s goal is to provide support and assistance to local veterans who have come home after serving in the military. The ways in which Coming Home Inc. serves veterans are many and varied. For disabled, elderly and recovering vets, Coming Home Inc. members clean homes, run errands, do yard work, help with child care and cook meals. The organization currently has around 15 volunteers who have helped approximately 20 local veterans with these tasks.
Another way Coming Home Inc. serves veterans is by organizing monthly events. These events range from poker night, to time at the gun range, to dinners at local restaurants.
The most important mission of Coming Home Inc. is the free PTSD treatment the group offers.
